Born and raised in North Vancouver, I’ve lived in North and West Vancouver, Downtown, Vancouver’s Westside, East Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, and Tsawwassen (and even Edmonton for a year or two, a couple decades ago). I’m married to my best friend (when I’m not in the doghouse, that is), and have two smart and talented (yet exceptionally stubborn and sometimes cranky) boys ages fourteen and ten, as well as a very happy, eternally-smiling four-year-old Bernedoodle named Duke.

Born to a family of bankers, I spent five years working in the banking field early in my career, before completing a degree in Criminology from SFU and working as a licensed corporate security consultant, providing high-level consulting services on major security and crime-prevention projects for corporations, government agencies, hospitals and transit systems.  Of course being the young hotshot that I was, I was quickly recruited to the Ministry of Public Safety & Solicitor General and federal Justice Canada where I spent five years managing community crime prevention funding programs.

My passion for real estate developed soon after I began investing in property myself, and it wasn’t long before this interest drew me away from the public sector to begin a full-time career selling residential real estate. And the rest, as they say, is history.

So, like many of us, I have a university degree that I no longer use. I have many skills, but none that I would consider myself exceptional at (except of course selling real estate!). But if I had one super power, it would have to be that I am extremely handy around the house. I confess that I spend far too much time and energy upholding our well-established family motto: “Daddy fixes everything”.  In my spare time, I enjoy venturing off to Galiano Island, coaching my ten-year-old's hockey team (yes that's a championship cup), and starting to get schooled in soccer, basketball and tennis by my fourteen-year-old.

Now, after over 19 successful years as a Realtor in this business and helping clients and friends buy and sell literally hundreds of homes, I can confidently say that I can’t imagine doing anything else. I love people (well, most people, most of the time). And I have a general passion for helping.

I value my clients immensely and always appreciate and respect the personal significance of the move that they are about to make, as well as the roller coaster of emotions that often go along with it. I am a real estate consultant first. But often more importantly, I am a counsellor, a support person, and a friend to bounce ideas off of. My philosophy is to treat every transaction as though it were my own, so I find myself heavily invested in the well-being of each and every client. I have a habit of becoming an extension of their immediate family and an integral part of their journey.  And I sincerely look forward to getting to know you and your story.
